YOUR ACTIVITIES FOR SESSION 1: COURSE INTRO, JAN 29
1. Build Your Personal Learning Network: Establish a Twitter account and post a message using class hashtag #LSC530. Use appropriate keywords related to this course and to search and find at least 10 people to follow, including your instructor, @reneehobbs.
2. Have a Flat Discussion: Media in My Childhood. Please introduce yourself to our learning community by sharing some memories of your favorite books, TV shows, movies, computer games and online activities. We are exploring the way in which small groups of people can engage in collaborative writing using a tool called Titanpad.

HOMEWORK FOR FEB 5. Create a Blog using WordPress.com and write your first blog post on the topic of Media in My Childhood. In your blog post, address this question: Reflect on your own childhood (ages 5 – 15) and describe one specific example of a book, movie, TV show, musician, website or computer game that was meaningful to you as a child. Explain why you liked it as a child and what it means to you as an adult. Consider your experience in relation to what you learned in the readings about children and youth growing up today. Send an email to the instructor with the link to your blog before Feb 5 at 7 p.m.
